Final Factory features several Game Mechanics that can affect different elements of gameplay. Its important to know how those mechanics work and how to properly use them to increase factory efficiency.

Resource Points[edit | edit source]

Resources are the basic building blocks in Final Factory. There are several types of resources, available at locations around the map. Here we discuss the various types of resource points or POI's, points of interest, within the game.

Resources include things like Asteroids, Planets, Stars and Comets.


Luminae[edit | edit source]

Luminae the old advanced civilization left behind some structures for you to find like the
  • Luminae Obelisk
  • Lumin Orb
  • Ancient Portal
  • Celestara Oracle
  • Artifact Assembler

Stability[edit | edit source]

When building Space Station each structure will lower its stability. When Stability is way too low, structures will stop functioning. In order to mitigate that, bigger stations have to use Station Core.pngStation Core, Strut.pngStrut or Stabilizer Artifact.pngStabilizer Artifact to increase the stability cap and lower the stability load.

Its totally ok to have small stations that do not have a Core in their grid and even single Structures hovering by themselves.

Stability concept makes production lines in Final Factory modular, requiring player to properly plan them and connect with each other using logistics network.

Power[edit | edit source]

Power is another Station aspect in the Final Factory. Most of the functioning Structures will consume power when active and idle. Depending on the power supply structures might function at a lower efficiency or stop completely if they have no power in the grid they connected to.

Power can be produced by several power production structures like Solar Panel.pngSolar Panel or Antimatter Power Station.pngAntimatter Power Station.

Heat[edit | edit source]

Heat is another Station aspect in the Final Factory. Only some special Structures will generate Heat when active. They also have Heat Cap, which will allow them to store generated heat. If Heat will hit a specific amount, Structure will overheat the overheat dmg is dependent on max heat of that structure and stop working.

Heat can be dissipated by Heat Exchanger.pngHeat Exchanger, Radiator.pngRadiator and Radiator Artifact.pngRadiator Artifact.

Fuel[edit | edit source]

Many of the Resources in Final Factory be used as Fuel to use in Mobile Stations.

Research[edit | edit source]

Research in Final Factory will allow player to unlock new technologies that will give access to new Items and Recipes or make some of the structures better.
Later recipes will require player to perform higher and higher type of research in order to be able to research the new technologies. So it's essential to progress from lower tier research to higher tier.
